First time homebuyer, new construction home, loan process in Texas.?

We are first time home buyers in Texas and we are purchasing a new construction home. We've spoken with a few lenders and have two lined up to help with the homebuying process. We know about what we can afford, our credit ratings, etc. What we don't
I don't think you wold like to work for 3 months and have your boss not pay you because a new employee will work cheaper. Pick a lender you trust to do a good job and then let them do it.

Best advise I can give is get a lawyer to work with you on the process. They can keep you from making mistakes.

When do we start the loan process for a new home construction home?

My husband and I are buying a new home. The house is currently under construction but it won't be completely done until the Spring or Summer of next year. When should I start speaking with someone regarding a loan for the house?
My husband and I bought a newly constructed home out in Las Vegas, Nevada about a year ago. Before the home developer would even allow us to put an "earnest money deposit" down for the house, we had to get "prequalified" with a mortgage
