If a person was gunna commit suicide, why not max out their credit cards and co-sign for loan applications?

Think about it. If a person if over the age of 18, has no family ties to anyone and was planning to commit suicide, why not co-sign for their good friend's car loan, max out their credit cards, buy a new car of their own or take one hell of a last vacation?

Relatives don't foot the bill. They are not liable for the debtor's debts. What you're asking is why doesn't the person go on one last hurrah. I'm sure there are some who do, not necessarily in the way you described, but look at the mass homocide/suicides

first off, you are not going to take out a loan from the Vet's administration, but the Vet's administration will guarantee the payment of your loan through any bank in case you default on it. It will also possibly get you a lower interest rate.
