Why did Family Guy turn around on Chevy Chase?

Okay, I know that Chevy Chase was in the last episode. But I can't think of any excuse for the way they treated him like a God in the last episode, and in previous episodes treated him like shit. I know that they sell out a lot, but this is just sad.

Cause Seth Macfarlane is a hypocritical d-bag.

Family Guy takes so long to produce, if you asked him today Chevy Chase probably would barely remember that he did that voice work or he'd ask "did they finally run that?".

I've been reading about poetry to-day and discovered that another name for a ballad stanza is a 'chevy-chase stanza'. I read somewhere that there was a place in England called Chevy Chase....so how the heck did a comic American actor get that name?
