New Jersey's poorest students need better school breakfast solutions
02.10.11
Waste not, want not. That’s what Grandma might say about an untouched plate of breakfast.

Wasted opportunity is keeping more than 265,000 of New Jersey’s poorest children from getting the free and reduced-price breakfast they’re entitled to, ranking New Jersey 46th nationally for participation in the federally funded School Breakfast Program.
Counting hungry children isn’t the only way to measure this embarrassment: School districts are leaving more than $32.7 million dollars in federal reimbursements for school breakfast on the table.
