I have been looking for grants and loans for minorities that are really available and within reach. Can anyone give some solid thoughts on this? Thank you.

These are tough times to obtain credits, however the US government is generous on minorities, and specially in a Single Mom like you. I've found this website you may want to visit and apply, they seem to have good programs to assist. How old is your kid

As part of the bank’s break-up Dexia is also in talks to sell its Luxembourg unit. A Luxembourg government official said that members of Qatar’s royal family were ready to buy the business with the state taking a minority stake.

The future of Dexia’s other business units remained uncertain, including its stake in Turkish lender Denizbank and its RBC Dexia Investor Services global joint venture with Royal Bank of Canada.

Trading in Dexia’s shares, which have been suspended since Thursday afternoon, was due to resume later on Monday.

The Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting through its Office of Access and Opportunity (OAO) and Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), is pleased to announce the opening of a Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Minority Business Center in Boston. “The primary objective of MBDA Business Centers is to provide strategic business consulting services to minority firms that will result in increased public and private sector contracting opportunities and capital investments, ultimately leading to the creation of new U.S. jobs.” (MBDA) The center will be housed in the offices of the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council and opened its doors on September 15, 2011. The GNEMSDC, OAO, and SDO have partnered to jointly achieve the procurement, employment, exporting and financing goals of the Center. The federal commitment to the project is $ 275,000 per year for the next five years.
